CIS Internship. Sponsored by the McMurry University Information Systems Department, Russell
spent the Summer I 2007 semester as an intern in McMurry's IT Department, under the direct supervision and instruction of the
Director of Customer Service, Freddie Famble, for the administrative aspect of information technology; and the
PC/Network Support Technician, Jason Tardiff, for the technical aspect of information technology. In his capacity as an intern,
he was permitted and expected to fulfill the following responsibilities: |
| + | Install and maintain current software and hardware in computer labs, and systems campus wide. |
| + | Establish installation and upgrade plans for implementation and usage. |
| + | Developed and maintain documentation for system hardware and software. |
| + | Create, maintain, and troubleshoot network user accounts. |
| + | Provide customer service, Helpdesk and technical support campus wide. |
| + | Install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise wide antivirus/anti-spam solution. |
| + | Identify customer needs and requirements. |
| + | Strategic account and vendor management. |
